Mercado Minerals Reports 828 g/t Silver at Campanillas Vein in First Zamora Project Surface Program

Mercado Minerals Ltd. (CSE: MERC | OTCQB: MRMNF) has announced initial surface chip sampling results from its first reconnaissance field program at the Zamora project in Sinaloa, Mexico. The company’s release states that sampling at the Campanillas Vein returned a peak result of 1.00 metre of 828 g/t silver, the highest-grade surface composite result recorded at the vein to date. Surface prospecting has also doubled the known strike length of the Campanillas Vein, a development investors in silver exploration companies may find significant.

Key Points

  • Mercado Minerals Ltd. (CSE: MERC | OTCQB: MRMNF) is a silver-focused exploration company active in Mexico’s Western Silver Belt
  • Initial surface chip sampling at the Campanillas Vein returned 1.00 metre of 828 g/t silver (760 g/t AgEq), the highest surface composite grade reported at the vein to date
  • A 300-metre strike length of the Campanillas Vein has been mapped; surface prospecting has doubled the previously known strike length
  • Investors may watch for results from the company’s planned extension of systematic surface sampling and mapping across remaining concessions

Campanillas Vein Surface Results and Grade Highlights

The release states that 2026 surface sampling has returned a best composite result of 2.40 metres true width grading 528 g/t silver and 0.75 g/t gold (536 g/t AgEq), including 1.00 metre of 828 g/t silver (760 g/t AgEq). A second notable interval of 1.00 metre returned 410 g/t silver with 1.66 g/t gold (497 g/t AgEq). Across the sampled zone, the Campanillas Vein displays approximate true widths between 0.60 and 2.40 metres, with silver grades ranging from 2 to 828 g/t and gold grades from 0.04 to 1.66 g/t, according to the disclosure.

Zamora Project Geology and Vein Expansion

Detailed mapping along the Campanillas Vein has delineated a 300-metre surface segment consisting of massive to vuggy quartz with minor carbonate, trace sulphides, and iron and manganese oxide coatings. The host rock is an andesitic tuff with moderate argillic alteration and silicification proximal to the vein. The announcement notes that surface prospecting has encountered wider true widths of mineralised vein and wallrock relative to the historic underground workings, suggesting the mineralising system extends beyond previously documented boundaries.

Program Design and Qualified Person Sign-Off

The initial field program was designed to verify historic high-grade results reported by previous operators at the Campanillas Vein. Rock samples were collected as chip samples across the perceived true width of the vein, secured with locking security tags, and transported via ALS Laboratories’ secured courier to their facility in Hermosillo for multi-element analysis. The technical content of the release was reviewed and approved by Kelson Willms, P.Geo., of Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited, a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. The company states it plans to extend systematic sampling and mapping to its remaining concessions.
