Jeremy Akers, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene, police say
SAN ANTONIO – A motorcyclist was killed Monday after going over the Interstate 10 west barricade along the Finesilver Curve, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The crash happened just before 7:30 p.m. Monday at Interstate 35 south to I-10 west near Camaron Street, north of downtown.
The motorcyclist, identified as Jeremy Akers, 39, failed to follow the curve on I-10 west and struck a wall on the highway, a preliminary report from SAPD said.
Akers was thrown off the motorcycle over the wall and landed on the ground below the highway, SAPD said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The ramp from I-35 south to I-10 west was closed but reopened as of 10 p.m. Monday.

The investigation is ongoing.
