Silver Range Resources Ltd (TSX-V:SNG, OTC:SLRRF, FRA:8SR) CEO Mike Power spoke with Proactive about appointing geologist Luke Schranz as vice president, strengthening the company’s prospect generation capabilities and advancing exploration across its mineral portfolio.
Power said experienced people are central to the business model, which focuses on identifying promising exploration targets and bringing in development partners to advance projects.
Schranz brings experience in underground mining, exploration and technical leadership. He worked at Nevada’s Fire Creek mine before moving into consulting and prospect generation, with experience spanning Nevada, Alaska, Greenland and Southeast Asia. His expertise includes land staking, geochemical surveys, geophysical interpretation and drilling programmes.
Most recently, he served as director of technical services at Scout Discoveries, generating copper-gold porphyry targets across the northwestern United States. At Silver Range, he will help lead exploration targeting, identify potential acquisitions and support corporate development.
Power also outlined current fieldwork at the Drum project in Utah and Shamrock in eastern Nevada. He highlighted East Goldfield as a key near-term focus, with the company having received new data and expecting to provide an update shortly.
