Trump bought SpaceX bonds before signing commercial space policy


According to the disclosure, the bonds are senior unsecured notes issued by Elon Musk’s rocket and satellite company with a 5.35% interest rate, set to mature in July 2031. On Aug. 20, Trump signed the national space transportation policy, which sets a goal of more than 1,000 launches and reentries on U.S. soil annually by 2030. Under the policy, federal agencies are tasked with easing commercial access to government-owned launch sites and fostering private capital in space infrastructure, according to CNBC.
