Bitcoin Cash: Knuth v1.3.0 goes live

A Bitcoin Cash OG announcement confirms that Knuth v1.3.0 goes live on 30 Jul 2026. The release adds a concurrent BCH mempool with pluggable backends and persistent storage, mempool-based mining templates, an optional JSON-RPC server, an expanded C-API, and security fixes.

The release strengthens transaction relay and mining tooling by improving how nodes manage pending transactions and how miners build templates from mempool data. Pluggable storage and improved parent-chain handling support different operational setups, while the optional JSON-RPC server and expanded synchronous and asynchronous C-API broaden integration options.

The security fixes include a remote denial-of-service issue in peer-to-peer block deserialization, reducing a stated network-facing risk. These capabilities become available with the release, but their operational effect depends on adoption by nodes, miners, and developers using Knuth.
