Bitcoin Cash: supports a self-custodial card payment launch

In a BitcoinCashOG post, Paytaca is presented as launching a self-custodial card payment experience at the Cash 3.0 Conference in Cebu City, using Bitcoin Cash smart contracts and NTAG 424 DNA signed-tap authentication with on-chain spending limits and merchant authorization rules.

For Bitcoin Cash, the launch adds a payment format that is closer to how people already pay in everyday settings. That can improve perceived real-world utility by pairing BCH spending with card-style access, while the smart-contract limits and merchant rules suggest a controlled way to authorize transactions rather than a simple wallet transfer.

The practical effect still depends on whether the product moves beyond availability and shows meaningful use after launch. Announcing the card experience confirms the feature set, but it does not by itself show merchant uptake or sustained transaction activity.

Making crypto as easy and familiar to use as regular payments is a key factor to its mass adoption.

This is a great step for the average person! Can’t wait to see the launch in August. Good luck team 👏
