Weekly Wrap: Crypto Rallies To Start ‘Uptober’

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) and other cryptocurrencies rose to start October. On Oct. 2, Bitcoin got as high as $86,500 U.S. Other digital assets such as Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH) and Solana (CRYPTO: $SOL) also rose to begin what is typically the strongest month of the year for crypto.

October has traditionally been so strong for Bitcoin and other digital assets that some investors call the month “Uptober.” On average, Bitcoin has risen an impressive 18.52% during the month, outpacing all other periods of the year. In October 2025, BTC hit an all-time high of just over $126,000 U.S.

Bitcoin has momentum heading into this October, having gained 42% in the year’s third quarter, with most of that rally occurring in late August and September. Analysts say that crypto has wind in its sails as crude oil prices and bond yields that had been pressuring markets begin to retreat. After steadily rising in September, both oil prices and U.S. Treasury yields are declining at the outset of the fourth quarter.
