Casa Group expands with finance division

Key role: Grant Williamson (l) with principal broker John Cox.

Casa Group, one of the UK’s fastest growing property service groups, is expanding with the launch of a new financial services division.

From commercial lending and equity release to portfolio restructuring and private client finance, Casa Finance will offer a whole of market mortgage proposition to both new and existing clients.

The landmark move gives Casa access to a broad range of specialist and mainstream lenders and allows it to now provide qualified, impartial mortgage advice across all lending types, from first-time buyers to experienced investors and high-net-worth individuals.

It’s the latest phase of a strategic nationwide growth plan for the County Durham-based firm and comes eight months after the acquisition of leading Scottish property and mortgage brokerage Cox & Co.

Casa employs over 60 people at the moment with the new arm of the business set to create a number of new opportunities in the north east of England and across the UK.
Grant Williamson has been appointed as the group’s first mortgage advisor in England, having had similar roles with both Barclays and Howden. Plans are in place to add to the mortgage team in the coming months as the group expands its footprint across the country.

Casa Group Managing Director for England, Adele Wright, said: “One of the plans we had when acquiring Cox & Co was being able to provide a whole of market mortgage proposition. I’m delighted to now be able to roll this out to new customers as well as our existing pool of clients and landlords alongside our lettings, sales and property management services.

“We believe we are now a true one-stop shop for buyers, renters, sellers and investors across the UK.”

Managing Director for Scotland, John Cox, will be spearheading the growth of the financial services arm as principal broker and he said: “Our ambition is to become fastest growing property services group in the UK, offering a true turn key service.

“We have been working hard on integrating Cox & Co into the wider group. As a board, we have taken a considered and structured approach to ensure everything is implemented correctly. Our priority has been to fully prepare the financial arm for rollout, ensuring we have the necessary capacity in place.

“Grant Williamson joins as our first mortgage advisor. He is greatly experienced and fits in the group perfectly with his personality and aspirations for personal growth.”

Grant Williamson said: “I’m very excited about working with the talent and knowledge base already here while having the flexibility to put my own stamp on the business. I know the Casa Group is going to bring the best out in me. The whole team is extremely professional and there are big plans for the future. To join a company at the start of what is planned to be a massive phase of growth is an absolute dream for me.”
