Forward Corporate Finance has shared its role supporting Hertfordshire-based conglomerate FIH group on its sale of a global art logistics business to an investor with existing operations in the sector.
The deal sees Momart and its subsidiaries bought by Compagnie Générale du Roumois SAS, a subsidiary of Horus Finance, where it will join the company’s fine arts division.
Established in 1972 and owned by FIH group since 2008, Momart provides specialist services to galleries, museums, art collectors, and artists around the world.
Horus’s fine arts division was established in 1760 as the exclusive layetier to the French royal family under the name André Chenue and now has 17 subsidiaries worldwide.
The acquisition of Momart provides Horus with its first business in the UK.
Stuart Munro, chief executive of FIH group, said: “Having worked with Forward on the sale of the Gosport Ferry, they again proved to be a trusted adviser on this project, supporting us every step of the way.
“Momart is a global business, and joining Horus’s worldwide group provides an excellent home to support the next phase of its journey.”
