New collaboration gives members access to board-level training and professional development focused on governance, finance and strategic decision-making

The collaboration, which has been designed to support senior leaders across the region, will see NI Chamber members benefit from unique access to industry-leading professional development opportunities provided by the IoD.

Focused on governance, finance and strategic decision-making, the training programmes are designed to help professionals move beyond day-to-day operational pressures and play an influential role in shaping long-term organisational success.

Speaking about the collaboration, Suzanne Wylie, chief executive, NI Chamber said: “In a time of rapid economic and technological change, it is crucial that business leaders and company directors in all sectors are prepared to lead with impact. In that context, investing in leadership capability is critical. This collaboration has been created to help NI Chamber members develop the strategic confidence, commercial understanding and board-level expertise needed to guide their organisations through increasingly complex challenges and shape their future direction.

“Having completed the IoD Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction, I can honestly say it was an investment worth making. Finding the time to commit to professional development is never easy when you are leading an organisation but this programme is practical, relevant and directly applicable to the challenges that directors face every day.
