QUICK SPARK: Partners Group Turns AI Into Private Equity Value Creation With $10 Million EBITDA Boost

Partners Group said an artificial intelligence transformation program across two of its portfolio companies generated a $10 million EBITDA impact and increased margins at insurance brokerage Foundation Risk Partners (FRP).

The program delivered a 120 basis point uplift in FRP’s EBITDA margin through a collaboration with Version 1, another Partners Group portfolio company focused on AI-driven technology services.

FRP built a proprietary policy-level dataset that allowed Version 1’s AI Labs team to develop two AI solutions. One AI agent reduced policy processing times for new clients by 94%, helping double close rates, while another automated a manual policy-checking process.

Partners Group said the initiative moved from concept to production in 14 weeks with a seven-person team, highlighting how private equity firms are increasingly using technology and portfolio-company partnerships as a source of operational value creation.

The Swiss investment firm acquired both FRP and Version 1 in 2022, citing growth opportunities in U.S. insurance brokerage and AI-focused digital transformation services. Since then, both companies have doubled their respective revenues.

“Through this, we have turned a clean dataset into USD 10 million EBITDA uplift and real, measurable growth,” Wolf Scheider, head of private equity at Partners Group, said in a statement.
