Caldwell Fiscal Court Approves Unchanged Property Tax Rates for 2026

Caldwell County Fiscal Court has finalized its county property tax rates for 2026, keeping the rates unchanged from last year.

Following a public hearing Thursday morning, where the real and personal property tax rates were presented and no public comments were made, magistrates moved into a special called meeting.

During that meeting, magistrates unanimously passed the second reading of an ordinance presented by Judge-Executive Kota Young setting both real property and personal property tax rates at 10 cents per $100 of taxable value. The ordinance says revenue from the levy will go into the county General Fund for county purposes, with the Caldwell County Sheriff collecting the taxes.

Fiscal Court also unanimously approved the Regional Development Agency Assistance Program application for the Industrial Building #4 project.
