Cannabis plants seized as police raid Penwortham property


On Wednesday, April 29, officers from Leyland Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act in Leyland Road, Penwortham.

Alongside the plants, officers found pepper spray.

Two males have been arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation, possession of a section 5 firearm and abstracting electricity.

A force spokesperson said: “If you have any issues with drug use or drug dealing near where you live then contact us on 101 or via crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“Alternatively you can email your local Task force with any information on ChorleyandSouthRibbleTaskforce@lancashire.police.uk

“Rest assured all information will be treated confidentially and we will look to take positive action.”
