Handy podcast boost for property tycoon Nick Candy





Shares in a podcast publisher backed by property tycoon Nick Candy soared after it hit key milestones.

Audioboom programmes were downloaded 1.5billion times in 2023 as more than 300million listeners in 150 countries tuned in from big markets in the UK and Australia to far-flung places such as Antarctica and Madagascar.

The firm produces the official podcasts for Formula One motor racing and other shows cover crime and cycling. 

Boss Stuart Last paid tribute ‘to the hard work, creativity, and dedication of our partners. Podcasting is a wonderful and inspiring medium’.

Audioboom shares rose 2.6 per cent, or 7.5p, to 292.5p – valuing the 14.75 per cent stake held by Candy, the biggest shareholder who is married to singer Holly Valance, at over £7.5million.
