Jefferies Australia anoints new head of power, utilities and infrastructure David Wickstrom from Macquarie Capital


Jefferies Australia has dipped into Macquarie Capital’s talent pool to appoint a new head of power, utilities and infrastructure advisory, after Julian Babich jumped to the buy-side with KKR.

David Wickstrom will join Jefferies in the new role in August following a 16-year-long stint at MacCap, where he advised on deals including KKR’s $1.7 billion acquisition of Zenith Energy, Stonepeak’s purchase of a 75 per cent stake in fuel distributor iOR and Rio Tinto’s landmark offtakes for its Gladstone aluminium business in Queensland.
