Riyadh Holding Launches Marafid for Economic Infrastructure – News and Statistics

Riyadh Municipality’s investment and executive arm, Riyadh Holding Company, has unveiled Marafid, a new executive body tasked with developing and enabling economic infrastructure throughout the Saudi capital. A report from TradeArabia News Service noted that the entity will operate in three primary areas: logistics and mobility, industrial clusters, and the circular economy.

According to a Saudi Press Agency report, Marafid is designed to convert economic assets and opportunities into integrated projects and operational ecosystems. These efforts are meant to bolster economic growth, raise service efficiency, and advance sustainable development along with quality of life in Riyadh.

The scope of Marafid’s work includes logistics and distribution centres, smart parking facilities, electric vehicle charging stations, recycling clusters, and light industrial zones. Such projects seek to improve the readiness of assets and related sectors for growth and investment.

Additionally, the company intends to employ digital technologies in managing its projects and assets. It plans to build smart systems that support performance monitoring, elevate beneficiary experiences, boost operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.
