Youths Applaud Infrastructure, Inclusivity In Nasarawa

Youths in the North-Central have rated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu high on economy, infrastructure and inclusivity while endorsing him for re-election in 2027.

The position was announced in Lafia, Nasarawa State, by the North Central Renewed Hope Youth Vanguard at a press conference.

Coordinator of the group, Mr Abdulhakim Usman, said the rating followed a comparative evaluation of major political leaders and presidential contenders across party lines, with focus on policy execution, economic vision, youth inclusion and social welfare programmes.

Usman said President Tinubu was assessed as the most vision-driven, courageous and pragmatic leader to guide Nigeria toward sustainable prosperity beyond 2027, citing his long-term economic policies, fiscal empowerment to state governments which has improved capacity for project delivery at the sub-national level, and targeted safety nets for vulnerable citizens as clear indicators of economic direction.

On infrastructure, he said the group views human capital development as inseparable from physical development, pointing to access to education through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as critical infrastructure that is building the next generation of skilled manpower needed to sustain growth.

On inclusivity, Usman said the administration has demonstrated commitment to youth inclusion through youth-focused policies and the appointment of North-Central leaders to strategic national positions, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission and the National Chairman of the APC.

According to him, the group which comprises youth leaders from the six North-Central states and the Federal Capital Territory – Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau and the FCT – took the decision in solidarity with the North-Central Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, who is bridging federal reforms with grassroots mobilisation.

He described Al-Makura as the sole governor elected on the platform of the Congress for Progressive Change, one of the legacy parties that formed the APC in 2013, and commended the President for entrusting him with the regional coordination role.

“We stand in unity, speaking with one resolute voice to declare total support for President Tinubu in 2027,” Usman stated, adding that the Vanguard would remain focused and mobilise massively across the zone ahead of the general elections.
