Man seriously assaulted and robbed in attack at Renfrew property


The incident happened on Tennant Street between 2.30am and 5am on Friday, April 24, 2026.

The victim required hospital treatment after being attacked by an unknown man who also stole a three-figure sum of cash during the robbery.

Detective Sergeant Kenny McLachlan said:

“This was a violent and sustained assault which left the victim injured and badly shaken.

“Enquiries have established there was a disturbance in the street just prior to the attack and we are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area to please come forward.

“We would also be keen to speak with any local residents with potential doorbell or dash-cam footage from the area around the time in question.”

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, around 6ft tall with an athletic build and short brown hair.

He was wearing a long-sleeved dark jacket and spoke with a local accent.
