NFP Acquires Assets Of Signature Personal Insurance, Expanding Private Client Capabilities In The Midwest


NFP, an Aon company and provider of property and casualty brokerage and benefits consulting services, announced the acquisition of certain assets of Signature Personal Insurance, a Kansas City-area independent personal lines agency focused on serving high-net-worth clients.

As part of the transaction, Signature Personal Insurance founder Roper DeGarmo will join NFP as vice president and report to Mary Mullen, senior vice president of Personal Risk for NFP’s Central Region.

Founded in 2004, Signature Personal Insurance specializes in customized insurance solutions for high-net-worth individuals and families with complex personal risk exposures. Its offerings include coverage for luxury homes, fine art collections, and rare automobiles. The firm also utilizes its proprietary Professional Advisor Insurance Resource model and maintains relationships with major insurance carriers.

NFP said the acquisition strengthens the capabilities of its Private Client Group and expands its presence in the Kansas City market. The addition will enhance the company’s ability to provide integrated personal risk management solutions to affluent individuals and families across the Midwest.

According to the companies, combining Signature Personal Insurance’s regional expertise with NFP’s broader resources and diversified risk solutions will provide clients with access to expanded capabilities and specialized talent.

NFP, which became part of Aon, provides services across property and casualty insurance, employee benefits, life insurance, executive benefits, wealth management, and retirement plan advisory. The company operates across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
