Property map shows the eight homes sold in Ancoats in April


A total of eight properties were sold in the Ancoats and Green Quarter area during April, according to the official records released by the Land Registry. The properties spanned from a £155,000 flat on Tib Street to a home on New Islington, which achieved a price of £358,000.

The average house price in the M4 postcode district covering Ancoats, Northern Quarter, and Strangeways was £274,216 in the 12 months to March 2024.




That is an increase of 1.8 per cent compared to the previous 12 months, meaning the average house value went up by £4,878 over the last year. However the number of property sales in the M4 area was down sharply from 358 in the year to March 2023, falling to just 126 in the last twelve months.

All the sales were registered with the Land Registry during April 2024, the most recent month where data is available. Some of the properties may have changed hands earlier with the sale only registered in April.

£155,000 – flat on Tib Street

A flat in Piccadilly has been sold. The home, situated at Tib Street in Piccadilly, was registered as sold on 22 February 2024 for a sale price of £155,000. The sale price represents a price per sqft of £248.

The home features 624 sqft of floor area.
