Dentons Appoints Tricia Brauer As Real Estate Partner To Expand Infrastructure And Energy Project Capabilities

Dentons has appointed Tricia Brauer as a partner in its U.S. Real Estate practice, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in infrastructure development, construction, renewable energy, and technology-related real estate projects.

Brauer brings more than a decade of experience advising property owners, developers, contractors, technology businesses, and infrastructure sponsors on complex projects involving financing, procurement, construction, and regulatory requirements.

Her practice sits at the intersection of real estate, infrastructure, and technology, with particular experience in projects requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders.

Brauer has represented clients involved in transportation, telecommunications, energy, healthcare, and technology infrastructure development.

Her experience includes advising on major projects involving emerging technologies, government funding programs, and complex regulatory frameworks.

Before joining Dentons, Brauer served as Head of Legal and Compliance for the North American operations of a United Kingdom-based renewable energy company.

In that role, she supported the expansion of electric vehicle fleets, charging infrastructure, and battery energy storage solutions across the United States and Canada.

She also led legal strategy for the development and financing of energy storage and other infrastructure projects.

Those responsibilities included navigating regulatory and financial frameworks associated with public incentives at the federal, state, and utility levels.

Earlier in her career, Brauer held senior legal positions supporting development, technology, and infrastructure initiatives.

Her experience included projects involving smart cities, telecommunications, connected infrastructure, and technology-enabled development.

At Dentons, Brauer will advise clients on the legal and commercial challenges associated with major infrastructure and real estate projects.

These transactions frequently require coordination among project developers, construction contractors, equipment suppliers, lenders, government agencies, and technology providers.

Energy storage, electric vehicle charging, and connected infrastructure projects can introduce additional legal considerations involving permitting, procurement, financing, construction contracts, and regulatory compliance.

Brauer’s experience in both private practice and corporate legal leadership positions is expected to support clients managing these requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Her background also includes establishing and overseeing legal and compliance functions for companies operating complex project portfolios.

These capabilities are relevant to businesses expanding operations across different jurisdictions while managing multiple development and investment initiatives.

The appointment broadens Dentons’ ability to serve clients in sectors where physical infrastructure and technology are becoming increasingly interconnected.

Through its U.S. Real Estate practice, Dentons advises clients on property transactions, development, financing, construction, and other commercial real estate matters.

Brauer’s arrival expands the practice’s resources for clients pursuing large-scale projects involving energy transition technologies, transportation infrastructure, telecommunications, and related industries.

KEY QUOTE:

“Tricia is a highly accomplished lawyer with a strong track record advising clients on complex development, infrastructure and energy transition projects.
