The acquisition deepens Lincoln’s presence in one of the Southeast’s fastest-growing real estate markets
DALLAS, July 14, 2026–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lincoln Property Company (“Lincoln”), a global full-service real estate firm, today announced the acquisition of The Spectrum Companies (“Spectrum”), a Charlotte-based, full-service real estate firm.
The acquisition enhances Lincoln’s full-service real estate platform in the Carolinas region, combining complementary capabilities, closely aligned cultures, and deep regional expertise. Johno Harris, Senior Executive Vice President at Lincoln and Stephen McClure, CEO of Spectrum will be leading Lincoln’s Carolinas platform, which will now also include Spectrum’s Northern and Central Florida’s multifamily business.
“Lincoln has long been committed to the Carolinas, and this acquisition reflects that commitment in a meaningful way,” said Harris. “I grew up watching my father, Johnny Harris, help shape this region’s real estate community with transformative projects that put Charlotte and the Carolinas on the national map. That legacy is part of why this market matters so deeply to me personally. By joining forces with Spectrum, we are well-positioned to grow our footprint and serve clients at a higher level across the Carolinas.”
Since 1982, Spectrum has developed nearly 7,000 multifamily units and currently leases and manages a total of 4.4 million square feet of assets, making this a significant expansion of Lincoln’s regional footprint. With this new partnership and investment in the platform, the combined firm is poised to ramp up its development and acquisition pipeline, across both multifamily and commercial real estate.
“Lincoln’s people-first culture and business built on trust and collaboration is why we’re proud to partner,” said McClure. “Our shared values are the foundation for seamless integration, and Lincoln’s full-service platform and national resources will only strengthen what we’ve already built.”
Spectrum will continue to build upon existing customer and investor relationships while expanding on the services and opportunities provided by incorporating Lincoln’s vertically integrated capabilities. Darryl Dewberry, Spectrum’s Executive Chairman, will continue in his role to ensure continuity for the development and investment partnerships he has helped cultivate across the Carolinas.
Together, Lincoln and Spectrum are creating a stronger, more competitive platform focused on delivering greater value to clients, investors, and teams across the Carolinas. This acquisition broadens Lincoln’s product offerings in the region and deepens its capacity to serve clients, pursue opportunities, and compete more effectively.
