A manufacturing facility building that offers industrial powder coating has a new owner.
The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate transactions in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the sales from Sept. 11-20.
During that time period, BJB Corporation of Western New York, Inc. of Jamestown sold 1853 Delaware Ave., Ellicott to 1853 Delaware Ave., Ellicott for $1.1 million.
That is the address of Dawson Metals Finishing Services. That location offers powder coating, sandblasting, wet painting, and assembly and shipping services.
In a separate sale, United Christian Advocacy Network Inc. of Jamestown sold 100-120 N. Main St., Jamestown to Chautauqua Area Development LLC of Jamestown for $190,000. UCAN originally planned to use that property for a women’s shelter, however plans fell through due to funding and asbestos problems.

100-120 N. Main St., Jamestown was sold by UCAN in September for $190,000. The site was originally going to be a homeless shelter for women, but instead has been sold due to various issues. The building is expected to be remodeled so it can house a banquet hall on the second floor.
In June, Andrew and Amber Carlson told members of the Jamestown Local Development Corp. that they were planning on buying 100-120 N. Main St., and construct a banquet hall on the building’s second floor, large enough to seat 300 people. They said there will be access to the business from North Main Street, with a lobby, bar and cocktail reception area on the first floor.
The Carlsons own the Chop House on Main in Jamestown, the Village Casino in Bemus Point, and Buddy Brewster’s in Fredonia and Lakewood.
According to nycompanyregistry.com, Andrew Carlson is the chief executive officer of Chautauqua Area Development, LLC.
