The Midlands and Southwest corporate finance team of Crowe has reported a record first quarter in a flying start to 2026.

Based at the firms Birmingham office the team led by corporate finance partner Andy Kay and director Phoebe Turner advised on eight deals over the past three months, providing M&A and transaction support services.

Andy Kay (pictured) said: “It has been a remarkable start to the year by any measure. A lot of hard work by Crowe’s Corporate Finance team in the Midlands and Southwest has come together to produce a record first quarter of the year.

“Our new office in Birmingham is clearly part of the story as we are now ideally placed to interact with other professional firms in helping to drive the region’s acquisitions and mergers market.”

The firm played a key part in the acquisition of Nottinghamshire-based Engineering Solutions Group by the fast-expanding Leeds company NG Bailey, the UK’s largest independent engineering and services business group.

The Crowe team also provided financial due diligence and transaction support to Amsterdam-headquartered Your.Cloud during the acquisition of Tamworth-based Pure Cloud Solutions, an IT and telecoms provider.

This was followed by Your.Cloud’s acquisition of Lancashire based, Cloud Geeni, a managed service provider, in which Crowe’s team were heavily involved in a similar role.

In the Midlands, Black Country-based law firm FBC Manby Bowdler, part of the fast-growing Adeptio Law network, acquired Jordans Solicitors in Blackheath and Halesowen, advised by Kay and his team.

They also provided buy side transaction support to New Homes Mortgage Services LLP in Cannock, Staffordshire in its acquisition of Clark Marshall Associates, based in Dartford, Kent.

Kay added: “Despite a challenging economic climate, there is still a clear appetite among entrepreneurial and innovative businesses to build for the future, and Crowe is proud to have been a part of so many exciting deals an action-packed start to the year.”
