Advanced Media Trading named first SME to achieve Majra Platinum Tier

Advanced Media Trading has become the first small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) to receive Majra – National CSR Fund’s Impact Seal – Platinum Tier, the UAE’s highest federal recognition for corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

The award was presented by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, during a ceremony honouring organisations for their contributions to sustainable impact.

Issued by Majra – National CSR Fund, the Impact Seal recognises organisations demonstrating excellence in environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices and contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The recognition supports the UAE’s vision of building an impact economy and aligns with the UAE Companies for Good 2031 Strategy.

Advanced Media Trading was recognised alongside major national organisations, including TAQA, ADNOC, DP World, The Emirates Group, Majid Al Futtaim Holding and RAK Ceramics, becoming the first and only SME to achieve the Platinum Tier.

The company has accelerated its sustainability initiatives since marking its 20th anniversary in 2022. In 2025, it became the first media retailer globally to receive validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its near-term emissions reduction target. The company has committed to cutting Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2021 baseline while also measuring its Scope 3 emissions.

Advanced Media has also expanded its climate initiatives through fleet electrification after joining the UAE Alliance for Climate Action in 2023 as its first SME. The company converted 20% of its fleet to electric vehicles in 2024 and aims to achieve full electrification by 2030.

In addition, the company has partnered with The Waste Lab to reduce food waste through composting, diverting one tonne of waste from landfill since 2023 while supporting a women-owned sustainable business.

Beyond its environmental commitments, Advanced Media continues to invest in developing future creative talent by offering annual scholarships for SAE Film students and hosting free CINESchool workshops in partnership with Prague Film School.

Alaa Rantisi, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Advanced Media Trading, said: “Receiving this prestigious award reflects the collective effort we have made as an SME to advance sustainability and corporate social responsibility. It celebrates the journey we’ve taken together and strengthens our commitment to creating a more sustainable future.”
