Lauren Crump helps England Under-18 girls win silver


Crump represented her country in the continental competition, which took place in Zurich, Switzerland, and saw teams from across Europe compete for the prestigious title.

England reached the final after victories over Italy (5.5-1.5) and France (5-2).

In the deciding match, they split the morning foursomes against Spain, who then edged the singles 3-2 to win the title with an overall score of 4-3.

Also competing for England were Elizabeth Wilson, Annabel Peaford, Ellie Lichtenhein, Mia Ingham, and Daisy Lee, under the guidance of manager India Clyburn and coach John Watson.

The boys squad also earned silver, falling to Spain in the final after defeating Italy and the Netherlands in earlier rounds.

Meanwhile, the women’s squad claimed bronze with a 4.5-2.5 victory over Finland at PGA National Slieve Russell in Ireland, thanks to singles wins from Davina Xanh, Sophia Fullbrook and Patience Rhodes, and a crucial foursomes point secured by Nellie Ong and Lily Hirst.

The men’s squad finished seventh overall, ending the tournament with a 3.5-1.5 win against the Netherlands.
