Firefighters spotted in Crowthorne as fire rips through property

The incident occurred at around 5:09pm at a property on Sandhurst Road in Crowthorne

Crews from Wokingham, Ascot, Crowthorne and Bracknell fire stations were sent to the scene of the fire alongside an incident command unit and two police officers.

An aerial ladder platform was used to extinguish the fire, which took approximately five hours.

A spokesperson from The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue said: “Upon arrival, crews discovered a large fire in a two-storey home. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels and three main jets to extinguish the fire before using a thermal imaging camera to check for further hotspots.”

The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue returned this morning (2/4) to access and reinspect the property.

According to a resident, firefighters remained at the property for the majority of the day.
