Weekly Wrap: Bitcoin’s Win Streak Continues

Bitcoin’s (CRYPTO: $BTC) win streak continued for a third consecutive week as the cryptocurrency’s price hovers near $80,000 U.S. on Sept. 4. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum (CRYPTO: $ETH) continue to outperform the broader market as investors seek safety from volatile stocks and a fragile bond market.

Bitcoin’s price rose 5% for the past week and hit a high of $82,272.31 U.S. on Sept. 3. That was its highest level since May 11 when the price reached $82,499.99 U.S. The three-week win streak is a recovery for Bitcoin, which had been rangebound between $60,000 U.S. and $65,000 U.S. for several months.

Other cryptocurrencies also continue to rally, with Ethereum’s price hitting a multi-month high of $2,545.62 U.S. on Sept. 4. Smaller cryptocurrencies and memecoins are also marching higher, with Dogecoin’s price gaining 10% on Sept. 3 to trade at $0.09 U.S. per token. Bitcoin last hit a record high of just over $126,000 U.S. on Oct. 6, 2025.
