Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced that this week’s auction of unclaimed property will be Treasury’s largest ever, featuring over 6,600 items previously safeguarded in Treasury’s vault, including jewelry, currency and collectibles.
“Every item waiting for bids was once waiting in our vault in Harrisburg to be reunited with its rightful owners, but when we can’t find a rightful owner, we have to make room for incoming unclaimed property inventory,” Treasurer Garrity said. “All proceeds from this week’s incredible auction will be documented and remain available for rightful owners to claim no matter how much time passes.”
