Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace on PS5 Gets a 21-Trophy List With a Platinum

Qui-Gon’s on the deck of a Trade Federation ship, droids pouring through the doors, and for the first time since 2024 that opening level might actually unlock something. The PS1 adaptation of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace looks set to get trophy support on PS5 and PS4. A newly indexed Trophy list on Exophase reveals 21 achievements, including a Platinum Trophy.

Push Square, which spotted the listing early, reported that when it launched on PS Plus Premium a few years ago, The Phantom Menace came without a set of Trophies. The outlet expects the ports to pick up the new list through an update soon. Nobody has given a date yet.

Trophy hunters have wanted this since day one, and some of them aren’t sure it’s real yet:

Episode III got a truly legendary review in The New Yorker.

Sample: “The general opinion of Revenge of the Sith seems to be that it marks a distinct improvement on the last two episodes…. True, but only in the same way that dying from natural causes is preferable to crucifixion.”

The Phantom Menace’s Platinum is called “In Everything, It Is”

The list keeps things simple. Techtroduce, going through the Exophase data, reports that the Platinum Trophy, titled “In Everything, It Is,” requires players to unlock every other Trophy in the game. That’s a Yoda line, and a decent one to stick on a Platinum.

Under the Platinum, eleven trophies are just for finishing levels. According to the same breakdown, those cover stages including Trade Federation Ship, The Swamps of Naboo, Mos Espa, Assault on Theed, and The Final Battle. If you get to the credits, most of the list comes with you.

Nine challenge trophies, from Otoh Gunga to a Thermal Detonator multi-kill

The other nine ask a bit more of you. Players must complete Otoh Gunga without casualties, locate three Proton Missile Launchers in the Gardens of Theed, and rescue four people during Escape from Theed.

There’s more on Tatooine. The list also includes saving Tomo and defeating the beast in Mos Espa, rescuing a droid in The Mos Espa Arena, entering the Jawa bar, and defeating eight enemies with a single Thermal Detonator. That last one’s the trophy we’d expect people to complain about. The original game’s camera and fiddly aiming don’t make crowd control easy.

For a licensed 1999 game, it’s a sensible list. It sends you back to the side stuff Big Ape Productions hid in its levels, and it doesn’t pad things out with grind. It’s also short, which suits a game you can clear in a few evenings with the classic port’s rewind button.

Exophase lists first, PS5 and PS4 patch later

Don’t boot it up expecting pings tonight. The appearance of these listings does not confirm that the corresponding game update has already been released. Exophase grabs trophy data as soon as it goes live on PlayStation’s servers. The patch that switches trophies on in the game usually follows later.

Techtroduce reports that the lists surfaced on October 28, 2026, covering both PS5 and PS4 versions. Neither Sony nor Disney has announced a rollout. The safe bet is that runs from before the patch won’t count. You’ll probably have to replay levels once the update lands, though that’s not confirmed.

The Phantom Menace was one of the PS1 classics left without trophies

This port came out on January 16, 2024 through Sony’s Classics catalogue. It had up-rendering, rewind, quick save and video filters, but no trophies. Push Square’s review at the time flagged it bluntly: “No Trophies included at PS4/PS5 launch.”

It had company. TrueTrophies’ running list of PS1 classics without trophy support includes Resident Evil Directors Cut, Ridge Racer Type 4, Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, Star Wars Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire, Tekken 2, plus a handful of Worms games. Phantom Menace looks like the first of those to get fixed.

Our view: it’s a small fix, but it’s taken almost three years. Trophies are often the only reason people boot up a PS1 classic more than once. Disney sitting on Rebel Assault II without one is getting harder to justify, and we’d like to see this become a habit rather than a one-off.

NZ$7.95 on the New Zealand PlayStation Store, or included with Premium

It’s cheap. The New Zealand PlayStation Store lists the PS4/PS5 version at $7.95, and it’s marked as included for PS Plus Premium members. One purchase covers both consoles.

Overseas, Push Square puts the standalone price at £3.99 / $4.99. That makes it one of the cheapest Platinums going on PlayStation right now, at least once the patch is out. It’s a 1999 Star Wars game for under ten dollars, and it’s free if you already pay for Premium.

For now, there are 21 trophies sitting on PlayStation’s servers that you can’t earn yet. The next thing to look out for is a new version number on the game’s PS5 or PS4 store page.
