Argentium silver seems to be making inroads into Thailand, with the recent partnership between Argentium International, a company established to deliver the benefits of Argentium Silver, and Thailand’s pre-eminent silver manufacturer, Precious Chain and Findings (part of the Cookson Precious Metals Group). Argentium Silver constitutes silver, copper and germanium. Being tarnish resistant, and capable of being manufactured without fire-scale, allows a higher proportion of silver to be added to the alloy, while retaining the strength necessary for day-to-day use. Argentium silver has two varieties: Argentium 925 Silver and the premium grade product, Argentium 970-Pure Silver. Both are stronger, harder and more versatile than traditional silver.
