HARTFORD — The Hartford showroom of a kitchen fixture supplier Express Kitchens has been listed for sale, marketed alongside another nearby warehouse it used to occupy.
Real estate agency NAI James E. Hanson has listed for sale a 5.39-acre property at 230 Weston St. in Hartford, currently home to a 120,295 square-foot warehouse and showroom occupied by Express Kitchens. The Weston Street property has been marketed alongside 3080 Main St., a 1.7-acre site with a 50,758 square-foot warehouse located around the corner that formerly served as an Express Kitchens showroom.
Express Kitchens, a venture of businessman and Hartford Chamber chairman emeritus Max Kothari, offers cabinets, countertops, sinks, and other fixtures, as well as remodeling consultations. The company has other showrooms in Bristol, Brookfield, New London, Newington, Orange, and Stamford, as well as “Factory Outlet” stores in both Bristol and Hartford.
Brochures for the two buildings state that the properties will be “delivered 100% vacant at closing,” providing an opportunity for investment within Hartford’s industrial market.
“Strategically positioned in Hartford’s Northeast neighborhood, just north of downtown along the Connecticut River, the assets offer exceptional regional connectivity with direct access to Interstate 291, Interstate 91, Interstate 84, and Interstate 384,” NAI Hanson said. “This central location provides efficient access to the greater Hartford market as well as key Northeast distribution corridors between New York and Boston.”
The brochures further state that 231 Weston St. is in Hartford’s ID-1 industrial zone, which allows for a variety of industrial and warehousing uses, and 3080 Main St. is a preexisting nonconforming industrial use within the city’s NX-2 zone.
The property listings and related documents do not include a list price, instead inviting interested parties to request pricing.
Representatives for Express Kitchens did not return a request for comment Monday morning. NAI Hanson officials declined to comment Friday, stating that the ownership of the building has a policy against providing information on current and former tenants.
