Aztec hires JPMorgan’s Wang to build AI team

hired Jing Wang from JPMorgan Chase to establish a team focused on responsible AI adoption as the fund services firm expands its investment in technology and data.

Based in London, Wang will oversee efforts to integrate AI into Aztec’s operations, with the aim of improving efficiency and client service.

Wang previously served as head of AI products for Chase UK, where she developed the bank’s generative AI capabilities and safeguards for deploying AI applications, working with executives and technology and operations teams.

Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Wang held an AI and machine learning leadership role at Amazon Web Services, developing applications for regulated industries, including , with a focus on document and knowledge processing across jurisdictions and languages.

“What drew me to Aztec was its belief that technology should strengthen, not replace, the expertise and relationships clients value most,” Wang said. “In private markets, value is built on accuracy, judgement and trusted partnerships.”
She added that AI can relieve specialists of routine work, allowing them to concentrate on providing advice and insights to clients.

Wang’s appointment as head of AI follows the arrival of Jason Adams as Aztec’s chief technology officer in March. Adams joined from Charles River Development, where he served as chief technology officer and helped advance cloud-based investment management platforms used by global asset managers.

“AI has enormous potential, but success depends on applying it in ways that are aligned to client needs,” Adams said. “Jing has deep technical expertise, product leadership and experience building AI solutions at global scale within highly regulated environments.”

Aztec provides fund administration services across private equity, funds of funds, real assets and private credit. The firm administers more than €750 billion ($836 billion) in assets across 450 funds and 4,500 entities.
