Ex-Disney CEO Chapek Relishes Drama-Free Private Equity Life (1)

Four years after Bob Chapek was unceremoniously fired as chief executive officer of Walt Disney Co., he’s building a new career in private equity that’s largely free of the corporate succession drama and Hollywood gossip that came with running the world’s largest entertainment company.

Chapek, 67, is now advising closely held businesses like online agent startup NinjaTech AI and real estate firm Foundry Commercial, has been nominated for a board seat at Vail Resorts Inc. by an activist shareholder, and is open to raising a private equity fund to acquire new companies, he said in an interview.
