Gemstones ‘Bloom’ in Sorellina’s New Collection

New York—Spring forward in style with Sorellina’s new “Bloom” collection for the arrival of daylight saving time.

The floral-inspired collection fit for spring was designed to capture the spirit of peace, love, and effortless beauty.

“Bloom draws inspiration from the flower power movement of the 1960s and ‘70s, when flowers became symbols of peace, individuality, and cultural change. That era used beauty as a form of expression and resistance, which really resonated with us,” said Nicole Carosella, co-founder and designer of Sorellina.

“With this collection, we wanted to capture that same sense of optimism and freedom while giving the motif a modern, powerful presence.”

Bloom features 11 pieces that display a flower or focus on a single petal.

At the heart of the collection is the large version of the “Bloom” inlay pendant. It showcases turquoise, malachite, mother-of-pearl, tiger’s eye, purple jade, chrysoprase, pink opal, and yellow opal as each of the eight petals.

The smaller variations of the “Bloom” inlay pendant feature one of the eight gemstones alongside diamond accents.

Carosella said working with natural materials is central to Sorellina’s design philosophy, because each stone carries its own inherent character and energy.

When choosing the eight colored gemstones featured in the collection, she combined stones the brand has always gravitated toward, like malachite and chrysoprase, with new additions such as purple jade.

The inlay designs were chosen to highlight the gemstones’ colors in a graphic, mosaic-like way, she added.

“We wanted the flower to feel bold and expressive rather than overly delicate, and the strong color combinations reinforce that spirit. Pairing the stones with gold inlay also adds dimension and texture, giving each piece a tactile quality that makes the design feel dynamic and alive,” said Carosella.

The collection also includes styles made fully in 18-karat gold, such as the sculptural earrings and rings accented by marquise and round diamonds.

The Bloom collection retails from $3,200 to $21,000.

It is slated to debut on March 20 and will be available on the Sorellina website.
