I recently attended the Couture Jewelry Show in Las Vegas—an event that brings together leading jewelry designers from around the world. It offers a chance to meet with the creatives behind the brands, ranging from established maisons to up-and-coming labels and see their latest collections. I spent two days moving from booth to booth to see the newest designs first-hand. There, I observed some key trends and heard from the designers about the direction the jewelry world is headed in 2026. Plus, the must-have pieces to know before they’re everywhere.
One clear insight was the use of colorful gemstones. As designers continue to move away from gold due to the high prices, precious stones are becoming more popular. A sense of utility also imbues many designs, including convertible lariat necklaces that can be worn multiple ways. Another recurring topic in conversation was the attention to craft, which is setting special pieces apart in the fine jewelry space.

Colorful Gemstones
Color was the biggest takeaway from Couture, and lots of it. From sapphire tennis necklaces to rings and bracelets scattered with rubies and emeralds, designers were leaning heavily into every shade of gemstone.
