CID Brings Dark Tech House Energy To “Don’t Call Me” Ahead Of Hollywood Palladium Show

Some phone calls are better left unanswered, especially when CID is controlling the soundtrack. The Grammy-winning house producer has returned to Insomniac Records with “Don’t Call Me,” a dark, flirtatious tech house single packed with rolling basslines, seductive vocals and the kind of late-night tension that belongs on a crowded dance floor. Listen here.

Out now, “Don’t Call Me” follows the story of a secret hookup, with a low, sultry vocal warning someone against making another late-night call unless they’re serious about coming over. Moody synthesizers and crisp claps create an atmosphere that feels equal parts mysterious and mischievous, while the driving percussion keeps the energy moving.

It’s a fitting release for a producer who has spent years mastering the balance between underground club music and massive dance-floor appeal.

Raised in Queens, New York, CID has become one of house music’s most recognizable producers. His career includes co-producing Cedric Gervais’ Grammy-winning remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness,” a recording that introduced his production talents to an enormous international audience.

He later earned another Grammy nomination for his remix of LSD’s “Audio,” further establishing his reputation for transforming familiar songs into inventive electronic productions.

And his accomplishments extend well beyond remixes.

CID founded his own label, Night Service Only, and has become one of Beatport’s best-selling artists. His catalogue has surpassed one billion Spotify streams, reflecting a career built around consistently delivering records that DJs and audiences return to.

His previous Insomniac Records single, “Loaded Gun,” has accumulated more than 2.61 million streams and received radio support from SiriusXM, Australia’s Kiss FM, SLAM!, Radio 538, NRJ and other international stations.

The track has also earned support from some of electronic music’s biggest names, including Martin Garrix, ACRAZE, Oliver Heldens, Afrojack and Nicky Romero.

Now “Don’t Call Me” brings a darker personality to his growing catalogue, combining hypnotic rhythms with a playful story that feels perfectly suited to the early hours of a club night.

The release arrives during CID’s ‘Out of Service’ tour, which includes an upcoming headline performance at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on January 9, 2027. He’ll also appear at The Concourse Project in Austin on January 29, with additional appearances across clubs and festivals.

For fans who appreciate house music with plenty of personality, “Don’t Call Me” delivers a wonderfully atmospheric combination of tension, groove and irresistible bass.

And with a major Hollywood Palladium performance approaching, CID is giving audiences another reason to keep their phones away and their attention on the dance floor.
