ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A local beloved cidery won two platinum awards at the 9th annual Cidercraft Awards.
According to a news release, the cidery received top honors for its two ciders, “Village Tart” and “Porter’s Perfection,” a single-varietal cider that was newly released in the cidery’s Lewis Creek Orchard Reserve bottled line.

The awards were announced on Thursday, May 7, highlighting excellence across a wide range of cider styles.
The release says that entries are assessed through a blind tasting by a panel of judges.
Noble Cider earned a Platinum award in the Stone Fruit category for the tart cherry cider “Village Tart”.
The cidery won another Platinum award in the High Tannin Dry category for its Lewis Creek Orchard Reserve “Porter’s Perfection.”

According to the release, the “Porter’s Perfection” is a single-varietal cider made with heirloom apples grown in their specialty orchard at Lewis Creek Farms in Henderson County, North Carolina.
