Precious metals slip as stronger dollar weighs on prices


Sharjah24-WAM: Gold and silver prices edged lower on 13 April 2026 in spot trading, weighed down by a stronger US dollar.

Gold slipped 0.3% to $4,734.50 per ounce, reaching its lowest level since 7 April, while US gold futures declined 0.4% to $4,767.40.
Silver also fell 0.2% to $75.71 per ounce. In contrast, platinum rose 0.3% to $2,050.80, and palladium recorded a stronger gain of 3%, reaching $1,566.15.
