Kathmandu. Harka Sampang, Chairman of the Shram Sanskriti Party and Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, has issued a clarification regarding his assets via social media. Following recent interest and discussions surrounding his wealth, he announced plans to publish a detailed list of his ancestral and personal property on Facebook.
He claimed that he holds no personal assets in his name, noting that his ancestral property consists of some farmland in Chokhane village, Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality-2, Khotang. “The ancestral property earned by my forefathers is in my mother’s name, which includes sloped land, grazing fields, bamboo groves, and alder forests,” Sampang wrote on Facebook.
He clarified that his ancestral home is located on a steep slope and that his siblings have not yet partitioned the inheritance. Addressing his personal earnings, he stated that he possesses approximately 4 to 5 tolas of gold acquired during his time in foreign employment and likely has a bank balance of 200,000 to 400,000 rupees.
Sampang has committed to formally publishing his asset details in the coming days. Asserting his commitment to transparency and public-oriented work, he addressed those questioning his wealth by stating that this is his true financial status.
