Great news for everyone shredding at VFW halls – Schecter has a new guitar out!
Schecter has brought back one of its best-known metal guitars with the return of the Solo-II Damien Platinum. Available now in Satin Black, the updated model retains the gothic styling and high-output electronics that made the original a favorite while pairing them with modern hardware and premium appointments.
Built with a Mahogany body and set-neck construction, the Solo-II Damien Platinum is designed for sustain and stability. A carved top and multi-ply silver, white, and black binding give the guitar a more refined look, while its understated Satin Black finish keeps things firmly in metal territory.
The three-piece Maple neck features Schecter’s Thin “C” profile and a 24.75-inch scale length, paired with a 14″-radius rosewood fingerboard carrying 22 jumbo frets. Bat inlays return as one of the model’s signature visual touches, complemented by black side dots and a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut.
Electronics come courtesy of a classic EMG pairing: an EMG 81 in the bridge for tight, aggressive rhythm tones and an EMG 85 in the neck for thicker leads and cleans. The pickups are controlled via independent volume knobs, a master tone control, and a three-way selector switch.
Hardware includes Grover tuners, a Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, satin chrome hardware throughout, and D’Addario NYXL 10-46 strings from the factory. The guitar is also compatible with Schecter’s optional Solo-II hard case.
