The halls of the National Museum of Anthropology are adorned with a temporary exhibition of Chinese silver. In it you will discover the jing Gong, a style of fine silverware that distinguishes combs, earrings and other beautiful pieces.
This exhibition is called Eternal Beauty along the Yellow River. Silver ornaments from the 17th-20th centuries in Shanxi, China. Originally on display at the Shanxi Museum, this is the first time these objects have left China to showcase the charm of this craft.
On your tour you will see 134 pieces: combs, Buddhist reliquaries, chains, pendants, barrettes, hairpins, hairpins and more. The exhibition is divided into seven main themes that focus on trade, manufacturing techniques and designs.
Among the most impressive objects are bracelets, or shouzhuos, with designs depicting eel backs, dragon heads and more.
The Chinese silver exhibition is located in the temporary exhibition hall; it will remain until March 8, 2026 at the Museum of Anthropology. Remember that admission to this exhibition is free.

Although the entrance to this expo is free, take into account that the entrance fees to the museum have increased. Now the national public will pay $105, while foreigners will have to pay $210. On Sunday the entrance is free for all visitors.
