The silver-dial variant of the Casio Edifice EFV160D Series — the EFV160D-7AV — is currently on Amazon at $72, down 25% from its typical $96 price point. Price tracking data from camelcamelcamel also confirms this is the watch’s lowest recorded Amazon price (albeit not for the first time), with a “Best Price” tag currently active on the listing.
We covered the EFV160D-1AV — the black-dial version of this same watch — hitting $72 last week as part of a bigger Edifice sale. The 7AV has identical construction but cuts a much different character on the wrist. Where the 1AV pairs its Clous de Paris textured dial against a dark background for contrast, the 7AV applies the same raised pyramid guilloche pattern to a silver-white dial. The result is an all-silver presentation that is much closer to a traditional dress watch. The texture is much more subtle in this colorway. It catches light differently and gives the dial a quieter, more formal quality.
Of course, the underlying specs are unchanged: a 40 mm stainless steel case running just 10 mm thick, Casio’s Caliber 5340 quartz movement, a slightly domed mineral crystal, Neobrite luminous coating on the hands and indices, a date window at 3 o’clock, screw-lock case back, and 100 meters of water resistance. The bracelet uses a one-touch three-fold clasp and fits wrist sizes between 150 mm and 205 mm. Battery life on the included SR920SW cell is approximately three years.
For context on the price: the 7AV hit an all-time high of $120 as recently as April 7, and its six-month average sits at $100.05 — making $72 a solid departure from its recent trading range. Amazon is shipping it directly with free returns.
If the black-dial version is sporty, the silver 7AV is arguably the more versatile daily wearer of the two. It should pair really well with both casual and formal attires.
