Missing Charlotte woman found safely in Cleveland County, police say

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A missing Charlotte woman was found safely in Cleveland County Sunday afternoon, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police said Virginia Oates, 70, was last seen at her family’s home on Raintree Lane on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024.

She is being evaluated and reunited with family, police said.
