Accountants advise on engineering firm sale

Bates Weston has advised a mechanical engineering firm operating in the water industry on its sale to a larger group.

It was one of three professional firms to advise FSE on its sale to RSK Group.

FSE specialises in the supply and installation of pipework and process equipment into the wastewater and water treatment industry.

Based in Rotherham, it is a key provider of the design, manufacture and installation of pipework and associated structures in water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and other water related infrastructure.

Chris Jones and Kate Evans from Bates Weston’s corporate finance team provided corporate finance advice on the transaction to FSE’s shareholders.

Chris said: “FSE already supports RSK’s work in the water sector.

“The timing of the transaction allows the combined business to benefit from the significantly increased investment going into the UK’s water infrastructure over the coming years.

“It was a pleasure working with the FSE management team during the process and wish them well as they embark on the next stage of their journey as part of the RSK Group.”
