a16z expands funds to $9.6B as global AI investment nears $1 trillion


On August 31 Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) raised an additional $1.75 billion through its fifth growth fund after closing a $1.1 billion AI hardware fund days earlier, marking two consecutive large-scale fundraises. The timing boosts available venture capital for crypto and Web3 startups, increasing prospects for fundraising, token launches, DeFi projects and broader adoption and coincides with Goldman Sachs research on shifting investment trends.
