Venture Capital firm Andreessen Horowitz has added military veteran and investor Connor Love to its roster.
Love will work on the firm’s American Dynamism team as a general partner and will focus on “startups critical to U.S. interests.” He will work with Katherine Boyle and Erin Prince-Wright under the direction of David Ulevitch, Bloomberg reported.
Love formerly worked as a partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners for more than six years. He assisted the firm with investments in Anduril Industries, Saronic Technologies, SpaceX, Castelion, K2 Space, and more, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Before joining venture capital, Love spent six years as an active-duty U.S. Army officer. The West Point graduate rose to the rank of captain and worked across operational, strategic, and policy roles, including a deployment to northern Iraq advising U.S. and Iraqi Kurdish military forces.
A16z’s American Dynamism practice invests in founders and companies that support the national interest: aerospace, defense, public safety, education, housing, supply chain, industrials, and manufacturing, according to the company’s website.
