Mumbai-based after-sales services platform Wiffy has raised $3 million in a Series A funding round led by Earth Fund.
Japan’s Persol Holdings and existing investor Capria Ventures also participated in the round. Persol made its investment through its corporate venture capital arm, Persol Venture Partners.
Wiffy said it will use the funding to expand its technology platform, strengthen its AI-powered workforce management capabilities, deepen partnerships with businesses and enter new service categories.
Founded in 2019 by Vikram Sharma and Deepanshu Goel, the startup provides installation, repair, maintenance and other after-sales services for home improvement and consumer durables brands.
Its software platform helps businesses manage services including technician scheduling, deployment and quality assurance after a product has been sold.
Wiffy works with more than 100 brands, including IKEA, Panasonic, Godrej, Hettich and Amazon. Persol said the startup had served more than one million homes and operated in more than 90 Indian cities across more than 10 service categories.
It recruits, trains and deploys technicians through a combination of in-house workforce development and a wider service network.
Abhay Garg, head of Earth Fund, said Wiffy benefited from receiving service demand through its brand partnerships, reducing the need to spend heavily on acquiring individual customers.
Vikram Sharma, co-founder and CEO of Wiffy, said “India’s home improvement market is scaling rapidly, but the field services and post-purchase experience have remained fragmented for decades. Our vision is to build the technology and skilled workforce infrastructure that enables every leading brand to deliver a world-class customer experience consistently at scale.”
“With the support of Earth Fund, Persol and Capria, we are accelerating that mission while expanding our technology platform, AI capabilities and nationwide technician network,” he said.
In July 2024, Wiffy raised Rs 25 crore in a funding round led by Mount Judi Ventures and Capria Ventures. Blume Founders Fund and other existing investors also participated.
The startup had previously raised $2 million in a pre-Series A round led by Blume Founders Fund and Unitus Ventures in July 2022, following a seed round led by Unitus Ventures in July 2021.
