Colchester city centre properties portfolio on sale


The Scheregate collection, which is currently generating an annual gross income of about £280,000, includes four properties and a 38-space car park.

The flagship property is a Grade II listed 18th-century hotel, which has been renovated and converted into 12 studio apartments, three en suite rooms, and two shared facility rooms.

Formerly the Scheregate Hotel, it is said to bring in an annual gross income of approximately £153,000.

Meanwhile, 4 Abbeygate Street, a four-storey Grade II listed Victorian house with six bedrooms, shared facilities over three floors, and a self-contained one-bedroom apartment, is said to be bringing in an annual income of about £47,000.

The 38-space car park is also generating an income of approximately £40,000 per annum.

Additionally, there is an adjacent storage barn with potential for further development, subject to planning permission.

The portfolio is located in the heart of Colchester city centre, which the estate agent has described as a “thriving city centre” and a “vibrant and sought-after commuter location”.
