Currie & Brown, a project management, cost management and advisory services firm, has appointed a new head of infrastructure for England and Wales.

In this role, Mike Bull will lead Currie & Brown’s infrastructure offer across its England and Wales regional business, with a focus on markets outside London and the South East.

Bull joins from Midlands Connect, where he was strategy and programme director. He brings 23 years of infrastructure experience.

He has worked on major programmes across the UK. These include the Midlands Rail Hub and HS2’s £17.2bn Phase 2b programme, which connects Birmingham and Manchester. He has also overseen motorway investment programmes across England’s strategic road network.

“I have spent much of my career making the investment case for major programmes,” said Bull. “I’ve engaged stakeholders and helped teams balance ambition with deliverability.

“I’m looking forward to bringing that perspective to Currie & Brown’s clients to help them make better decisions, manage uncertainty and deliver programmes that create lasting value.”

The appointment comes as the UK Infrastructure Pipeline includes 734 planned projects worth £718bn over the next decade.

Kieran McManamon, regional managing director, England and Wales, said: “The infrastructure market is changing quickly. Our clients need clear advice that helps them make investment decisions, manage risk and deliver essential networks people rely on every day.

“Mike has led major programmes, built strong business cases and worked with stakeholders at every level. His appointment strengthens our ability to help clients respond to this changing landscape and deliver infrastructure with confidence.”
